SYDNEY (ELEPHANT GUN) – Our friends Jack Harries and Geordie Cargill of the Heavy Collective, an Australian-based blog championing photography and photographers across the planet, are looking for a new home–a digital one, that is.
Over the last four years, the Heavy Collective has exhibited, published, interviewed, and shared inspiring and important creative works from every corner of the globe. And they did it all on Tumblr.
Tumblr? Yes, Tumblr.
This year, the Heavy Collective endeavor to produce a number of artistic gems online and off and need a dynamic new website as a marketing centerpiece to make it all happen. A new digital digs will allow it to publish a quarterly (print and online) assemblage of the tasty submissions that land in its inbox and flickr pool in a more considered and compelling way; build new collaborative social tools to further foster community; deepen its editorial content; beef-up its cast of international contributors; plus, expand its eCommerce capabilities.
Whew. You know you can't do any of that shit on Tumblr.
